POSITION INFO:
The Senior Finance Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end financial administration, reporting, and analysis processes across the business. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong finance acumen, advanced Excel capability, and hands-on experience in Netsuite. The incumbent will ensure accurate contract administration, billing, forecasting, and revenue reporting, supporting both operational and strategic decision-making.
What you'll do:
- Contract Revenue Administration
- Manage contract input, filing, and tracking in Netsuite.
- Oversee contract invoicing, including proforma invoices, purchase orders (POs), and deferred maintenance processing (monthly) in Netsuite.
- Conduct billing reconciliations and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Administer new product setups in Netsuite and maintain contract data integrity.
- Manage client procurement portals, ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Financial Planning Analysis
- Lead budget preparation and coordination annually, including forward-load planning
- Prepare monthly revenue forecasts and compare against actual performance.
- Generate and analyze revenue forecast vs actual reports and create monthly graphs for management review.
- Produce monthly and annual revenue reports, including annual revenue statistics
reports slides for executive review.
- Support Business Unit (BU) management through financial reporting and insights.
- Audit Compliance
- Coordinate and support audit processes, ensuring timely submission of required
documentation and reconciliations.
- Maintain compliance with internal financial controls and processes.
- Systems Process Management
- Act as Netsuite super-user for finance-related processes, continuously seeking ways to optimize system usage.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency in billing, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
Your Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior finance or FPA role.
- Strong experience working with Netsuite or similar ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of IFRS standards with the ability to apply them in financial reporting and analysis.
- Proven track record in budget preparation, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Experience managing audit processes and interacting with external auditors.
- Deep Finance Acumen – strong understanding of accounting principles, revenue recognition, and financial management.
- Advanced Excel Skills – ability to create complex models, automate calculations, and build insightful reports.
- Systems Proficiency – experience with Netsuite (or similar ERP systems) essential.
- Analytical Mindset – ability to interpret data, spot trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail – ensures high levels of accuracy in contract input, billing, and reporting.
- Communication Skills – capable of presenting financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Time Management – able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (BCom or equivalent).
- Professional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) advantageous.
