JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting through planning and coordinating the annual budget process, participating in updating the monthly forecast and analyzing financial information received for budgets and forecasts. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for maintaining master data and maintaining cost and profit center structures within SAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing pricing and volume variances, monthly PowerBI management reports and preparing/reviewing variance analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for influencing management to achieve cost targets, participating and providing input in business decision making and managing applying relevant policies, procedures and ensuring compliance to internal controls.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Accounting
• Studying towards/completed CIMA is preferred
• Excellent academics is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 4 years’ experience in a financial planning/controlling position.
• Experience in the mining industry is preferred
• Strong analytical and budget management skills
• Strong understanding of BOMs, standard costing and ABC costing
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with SAP and PowerBI is advantageous
• Willing to learn and grow with the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in an innovative and agile environment
• Ability to work in a high performing environment
