POSITION INFO:

Senior Financial Manager

Rosebank, Gauteng

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance (2 IC to the Head of Finance) and responsibilities will include, amongst others, the following:

Be a part of the IFRS 17 implementation projection across countries with the support of a dedicated project team.

Provide analytical review, drive change and digitisation

Analysis of multiple foreign subsidiary management accounts and financial statements

Manage, develop, and build a culture of a high-performance team.

Processing of entities financial results in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) along with consol and elimination entries.

Preparation of monthly financial reports and commentary

Must be able to handle multiple priorities. Be fast and effective on execution.

Provide end to end financial management support to businesses outside of South Africa

Assist with cluster financial consolidation

Assist with implementation of new systems SAGE 300 across Countries and TM1 Financial Reporting and processes in businesses

Management costs reporting.

Management and oversight of recoveries model

Assistance and preparation of budgets (subsidiaries, Associates)

Qualified CA(SA) with 5 to 7 years post qualification experience;

OR

B.Com Accounting or similar degree with at least 7 years financial accounting experience

Experience in the Emerging Markets environment will be an advantage

HFM experience will be an added advantage

Good working knowledge of IFRS standards

Basic understanding of actuarial numbers will be an advantage EV, VNB, Policyholder vs Shareholder Insurance Accounting ito IFRS 4.

French speaking will be an advantage but not key critical

 Experience in the financial services sector is essential
