Senior Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
Senior Financial Manager: Ideally Durban based role but will consider candidates from other areas. Innovative telecoms company offering growth and an exciting challenge within this ever changing industry. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial mind set with at least 4 years post articles experience in managing a high performance teams as a Financial Manager.  The ideal candidate will come with experience within the Telecoms industry This is a remote working role!
The success candidate MUST be a qualified CA or SAIPA or BCom Accounting. CIMA will also be considered.  

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:  Chartered Accountant or BCOM Accounting  CIMA, SAIPA
- Detailed understanding of IFRS
- Sound understanding of Income Tax, VAT and payroll taxes.
- Strong competency in Pastel Evolution and Excel.
- At least 4 years'' experience managing people.
- Experience in implementation of new system(s).
- Management of departmental budgets and cashflow.
 
Taxation and compliance:
Lead the preparation of VAT returns
In conjunction with HR ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly payroll computations/returns.
In conjunction with auditors ensure timely and accurate submission of Income Tax computations/returns
Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.
 
Financial Reporting:
Oversee preparation of all required statutory financial reporting in compliance with appropriate standards and legislation.
Preparing financial and cashflow forecasts.
Ensure cashflow reports and management accounts are produced on a timely and accurate basis, using appropriate accounting policies.
Presentation of key issues and variances to Shareholders, the Board, senior management and where appropriate external stakeholders.
Keep up to date with all related financial accounting and tax, regulatory and commercial developments, analyse the impact of relevant changes and advise the Board/ Shareholders of any financial and tax implications.
Completion of year end audits and annual financial statements
