Senior Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
Senior Financial Manager responsible for providing fulfilling financial management disciplines at a senior level for the Telecoms sector of the Group of companies.

POSITION INFO:

Team Management

• Manage finance employees of the Telecoms sector.
• Provide technical, procedural and policy guidance to the Group.
• Recruit and hire employees when required.
• Handle adhoc labour relations issues (e.g. disciplinary hearings) within your area of responsibility.
• Assign, monitor, and coordinate assignments (plan and organise work).
• Determine training needs and identify training courses for direct reports.
• Career development for direct reports (counselling, coaching, identify KPA’s, career planning, goal setting).
• Evaluate the performance of your staff.

Audits

• Co-ordinate the annual audit of the Telecoms sector aligning to the Group annual audit.
• Sign off all Telecoms audit packs.

Financial Year End

• Prepare annual financial statements including all relevant IFRS disclosures.
• Prepare annual financial statements including all relevant IFRS disclosures for the statutory entities within the Telecoms sector.

Reporting and Analysis

• Analyse and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
• Assess financial components (e.g. revenue, expense, operating income and expenses, net income, capex and cash flows) of all Departments.
• Work closely with the Telecoms sector CEO by providing valuable insights and direction in order to drive financial performance.  

Ad Hoc

• Perform other related duties as requested.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant registered with an appropriate, recognized professional body.
• 5 - 10 years commercial experience, including management experience.
• Broad experience with accounting software and proficient in MS Office.
