Senior Fire Engineer

SUMMARY:
Run and design several high-end fire projects for an International Consulting Engineering firm.

POSITION INFO:

Fire safety and fire system design

Developing fire safety evacuation plans including way finding, fire equipment and fire rated construction

Mentor and assist junior Engineers with both technical and design problems

Consult with the authorities to keep up with safety regulations

Prepare tender documents for several fire protection systems

Designing fire detection, sprinkler systems, smoke control systems and gas suppression systems

Carry out site inspections

Manage invoices, contracts and fee proposals

Be involved in management responsibilities such as revenue forecasts, resource management and bringing in new projects

Liaise with clients

Skills & Experience:

Fire Codes

Rational Fire Design and preparing fire reports

CAD skills such as Pyrosim, Pathfinder, Canute and other similarly approved software

Minimum of 5 -10 years’ experience in Fire Engineering

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or Technology Degree

Professional Registration with ECSA. (Pr. Eng. Or Pr. Tech. Eng.) - Essential

The successful applicant must have their own transport and valid code B driver’s license and should be willing to travel nationally and internationally when needed
