POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Full Stack Development Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated front-end and back-end application components using C#, .NET, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 . Build scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications. Deliver robust software solutions that meet business, performance, and reliability requirements. API Development & System Integrations Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable RESTful APIs. Lead complex integration initiatives involving third-party platforms, cloud services, and legacy systems. Ensure API performance, reliability, and adherence to enterprise security standards. Implement and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth2 and OIDC. Database Development Develop, optimise, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures. Support database design, integration, and performance tuning initiatives. Ensure data integrity, scalability, and efficient system performance. Technical Leadership & Collaboration Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, coaching, and knowledge sharing. Contribute to architectural discussions, technical design decisions, and development standards. Collaborate with product owners, analysts, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Promote continuous improvement and technical excellence within the development team. Quality Assurance & Testing Lead peer code reviews and champion clean coding principles and industry best practices. Support and oversee unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across applications and integrations. Ensure applications meet quality, security, and performance standards. Performance Optimisation & Maintenance Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications, APIs, and databases. Optimise systems for scalability, maintainability, and long-term performance. Support ongoing application maintenance and enhancement initiatives. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including API specifications, architecture diagrams, and integration guides. Establish and maintain development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the team. Required Skills & Experience Essential Technical Skills Expert-level experience with C# in web and enterprise application development. Strong expertise in .NET Framework , .NET Core , and ASP.NET Core . Advanced TypeScript development experience for scalable front-end applications. Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 . Extensive experience designing, building, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs. Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and token-based security models. Proven experience delivering complex system integrations. Advanced SQL development experience, including performance tuning and complex database structures. Strong knowledge of Entity Framework or equivalent ORM technologies. Sound understanding of secure development principles, including: OWASP Top 10 Secure coding practices Secrets management Data protection standards Regulatory and compliance considerations such as POPIA Desirable Skills Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as: Angular React Vue.js Exposure to cloud platforms such as: Microsoft Azure Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience with DevOps practices, CI\/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes. Advanced Git and version control experience within enterprise environments. Experience working within Agile development teams. AI & Emerging Technologies Experience integrating Large Language Model (LLM) APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic. Exposure to AI-powered tooling and enterprise AI solutions. Familiarity with: Agentic AI development patterns Tool-use frameworks Multi-step AI workflows Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies. Ability to assess and implement AI solutions where they deliver measurable business value. Qualifications Preferred Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. 6-9 years of professional Full Stack Development experience. Minimum 2 years' experience operating at a Senior Developer or Technical Lead level. Demonstrated experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale applications and systems.
