Senior HVAC & R Mechanical Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & R) required at International Company. Designs orientated role. Will have some responsibilities on Energy Management and system integration between the different aspects of Industrial cooling and HVAC.

POSITION INFO:

Position: Senior Design Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineer HVAC & R

Location: Johannesburg

International company with branches across the world

Head office position in Africa/ South Africa

Company focusses in the design, manufacture ,import and distribution of  Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning related equipment and associated Syatem designs

Leaders in their field in SA

Senior Mechanical Engineer required who can assist in designs, proposals/ quoting of aspoecyts of Refrigeraion and Air Conditionoing for Industrial plants and warehouses

Qualification and experioence needed: 

• Mechanical / Mechatronic / BTech  Mechanical/ Mechatronic engineer qualification 
• Previous work experience in HVAC / refrigeration designs essential- 5-10 years minimum
• Skills in the energy management industryrin relation to HVAC&R solutions will be advantageous

Skills required:

• Fundamental knowledge of refrigeration & HVAC process
• FREON , Chiller VHR skills 
• Heat load calculations from first principles
• System integration (compressors, heat exchangers, control valves and other line items)
• Solid works / ACAD Proficient
• PLC programming (ISAGRAF) will be advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure
• Problem Solving Ability 

Tasks:

• Equipment design for refrigeration & HVAC
• Design and quoting of refrigeration & HVAC plants
• Technical presentations to clients
• Long term development of refrigeration equipment with special attention to energy efficiency
• Computer modeling to improve product design and manufacturing processes
• Tenders / Quotes and control
