Senior IT Technician – Randburg

POSITION INFO:

The ideal candidate is an experienced IT professional with an MSP background who can manage a team, implement processes, and guide technical strategy while still being capable of stepping in on escalations and complex projects when needed.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical foundation in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking, and security.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of MSP operations, RMM/PSA tools, and ITIL frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage escalations, client expectations, and complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills – able to translate between technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Commercial awareness of MSP profitability and service efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 7–10 years IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in an MSP leadership or senior technical role.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing service delivery.
• Relevant certifications strongly preferred:
• Microsoft (Azure Administrator, M365 Enterprise Admin, etc.).
• Networking (CCNP or equivalent).
• Security (CISSP, Security+, Sophos/ESET certifications).
• ITIL Foundation or higher.
• Experience in project scoping, delivery, and stakeholder management.
