Senior Import/Export Controller

SUMMARY:
Multinational Logistics provider (commodities, general cargo, sea, transportations, loading/unloading, warehousing, industrial processing financing and working capital optimization) seeks an experienced Import/Export Controller responsible to accurately prepare invoices; maintain Customer service and perform general administration to ensure the Customer and the Company needs are met timeously, ethically and procedurally.

POSITION INFO:

Duties include:

• Estimates and Quotes
• Opening and maintaining files – sea and road freight
• Processing Cargo Dues
• Manifests / Border Documents
• Data Capturing
• Invoicing – liaising/working in conjunction with Finance Department
• Dispatching documents
• Freight Forwarding
• Liaising with shipping lines – forwarding documents for release, securing space, sailings etc.
• Tracking – road, rail and sea including crossborder
• Warehouse controlling for various clients
• Liaison with Transport department
• Liaison with clients – high level of customer service
• Liaison with Warehouse Ops Department
• Creation of reports – both internal and external

Requirements:

• Matric, appropriate tertiary qualification
• Attention To Detail: The ability to process detailed information effectively and consistently
• Planning and Organizing: The ability to determine goals and priorities and to assess the actions, time and resources needed to achieve those goals.
• Integrity: Adherence to the standards, values and rules of conduct associated with one’s position and the culture in which one operates. Being incorruptible.
• This person should be able to integrate into and work within an open office environment within a close-knit team
