SUMMARY:
A stock exchange company is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator to join their team

POSITION INFO:

Job Purpose

To provide Business as Usual (BAU) support activities for all the Company’s Microsoft Infrastructure Systems platforms ensuring that the platforms meet or exceed availability, quality, performance and resiliency requirements in SLAs agreed with business stakeholders thus contributing to the mitigation of technology risks for the Company.

Qualification & Experience

Recognized Degree in Computer Science
Post grad degree in IT is preferred
7 years working experience within IT
5 years Microsoft /Linux Operating System hands-on experience
Previous experience in customer support, computer operations, Windows/Linux systems administration or related already
Experience in a financial industry firm preferred

Key Outputs

Results Delivery

Ensure the Company’s Microsoft Infrastructure Systems platforms meet or exceed the availability, performance and resiliency benchmarks in SLAs agreed with business stakeholders.
Ensure the IM’s department’s Microsoft Infrastructure Systems platform deliverables are delivered on time, with prescribed quality and add value to the Company’s business.
Apply professional due diligence in everyday delivery to contribute to achievement of departmental performance targets
Contribute to crafting of the Compute and Storage team''s business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of Infrastructure Management department''s strategy

Stakeholder Relationship Management

Ensure the Company’s Microsoft Infrastructure Systems platforms meet or exceed the availability, performance and resiliency SLAs agreed with business stakeholders.
Liaise with the ITD teams to assist with all Microsoft Infrastructure Systems platform support and implementations and take ownership of troubleshooting issues related to Linux platforms.
Maintain relationships with relevant vendors and service providers for production support issues and new improved technologies implementations.
Build strategic Industry relationships of Microsoft Infrastructure Systems platform IT professionals utilising professional forums and networks, industry workshops, seminars, social media, and attending training sessions.
