Senior Investment Officer

Job Overview:

A specialist risk financier for small and medium enterprises, has an exciting opportunity for a suitable experience Investment Manager at its East London branch. 

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom / Similar NQF7 (Minimum: Accounting I; Advantageous: Accounting III)
• Completed articles (advantageous)
• 4+ years’ experience in similar role / environment – business investment / business investment structuring
• Banking sector experience highly advantageous / preferred
• Development funding sector experience highly advantageous / preferred

Responsibilities:

• Marketing the company’s investment solutions for the area
• Undertaking viability studies (i.e. due diligence, cash flow analysis, industry analysis) on targeted entities
• Doing financial modelling and compiling the investment report
• Negotiating and structuring investment projects on the targeted entities
• Actively managing and optimising the returns of the investment portfolio
• Providing business expertise to the investee company, as well as value adding such as dealing with suppliers and helping in operations-related matters
