Senior Java Developer

SUMMARY:
A well-established software company is looking for a seasoned Java Developer who has a thorough understanding of SDLC processes, tools and techniques. You must be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and a self-starter.

POSITION INFO:

In this role you be responsible for the development of functionalities and maintenance of existing functionalities for bespoke interface platforms that forms part of a larger application platform

These platforms include a Windows Service Java and SQL based, multithreading application

You will need to understand existing products, work alongside business analysts to refine and implement new requirements

You will be responsible for the evaluation and improvement of application performance, security, and high availability features

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years working experience in Java (Required)

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a senior back-end developer in a multi-tiered Java application development (Required)

Experience and knowledge in the following:

Integrated systems using Java

Java – general/ EJB 3, JSF 2/ JDBC/ REST/SOAP Web Services and Networking Programming/ JavaMail

SQL

Database modeling (Relational)

Knowledge of FTP, SFTP and FTPS using Java

Knowledge of Microsoft Dev Ops (Old Team Foundation)

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science / Engineering (Advantageous)
