Senior Java Developer

Role and Responsibility

The senior Java developer must have an expert understanding of:

• the system development life cycle and can explain the Java developer role in each stage
• the defined system development tools, processes and workflows
• the distinction between business, functional and non-functional requirements and how to implement them
• the importance of delivering high quality source codes and how to achieve it
• the technologies used and the systems components structure
• the domain and business terminologies and link them back to system implementations

The senior Java developer should be able to demonstrate that they can:

• develop, test, and maintain the deployed application software with excellent quality
• analyze, maintain and enhance existing application and troubleshoot issues with high efficiency
• perform and help others on the accurate development estimation
• can produce and help others on suitable technical specifications and best designs by himself
• can help to produce high standards on the team and stick with it

• Oracle and PL/SQL
• ORM/Hibernate/JPA/TopLink knowledge

• Unit testing, automate testing using different testing frameworks

Minimum Required Experience

• 3 years of experience with Java / J2EE development and design.
• At least 5 years as a Java Developer, or 2 year experience as a Senior Java Developer or technical team leader
• Java related system implementation and deployment
• Requirements analysis and system design experience
