Senior/ Lead Analyst

SUMMARY:
We require a Senior/Lead Analyst to work for a contract role in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

The role of the Senior/ Lead Analyst encompasses many activities including (but not limited to):

- Meeting with decision-makers, system owners and end users to define business, financial and operations requirements and system goals and identifying and resolving systems issues. 

- Leading design sessions in prototyping new systems. 

- Reviewing and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and developing strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. 

- Identifying and establishing scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions. 

- Collaborating in the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications. 

- Conducting research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts. 

- Preparing and delivering reports, recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organisation. 

- Creating system design proposals. 

- Performing cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions. 

- Ensuring compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems. 

- Creating systems models, specifications , diagrams and charts to provide direction to system programmers. 

- Coordinating and performing in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems and other post-implementation support.

- Providing orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems. 

- Providing guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.

Minimum Requirements: 

- One or more tertiary qualification(s) issued by a registered tertiary institution that is/are relevant to the role of the Senior / Lead Analyst; OR

- One or more industry accredited course credential(s)  that is/are relevant to the role of the Senior / Lead Analyst (including, for example, industry accredited course credentials in programming). 

- A minimum of 5 (five) years'' experience at a senior level in a Senior/ Lead Analyst or equivalent role.
