Award-Winning Scottish Cloud Consultancy based in Edinburgh are looking for a skilled Python Developer to help lead a crucial public facing project - Modern Tech Stack, Flexible working and real autonomy in work on offer.
They've been operating successfully now for over 20 years and work with a really established portfolio of clients - unlike other consultancies though, you're never farmed out to these organisations as they will bring all projects in-house to complete.
They've got a busy pipeline of projects and you'll experience real variety here in your role. They already have a project assigned to this position - as you'll be leading a crucial Cloud Transformation project for one of their public sector clients.
You'll be joining a team of two Developers (however they do plan to double this team within the next 12 months), and you'll be coming in as the most Senior Developer in the squad. They're hoping within time you can really help lead / drive this project and become a pillar within the team. On this project they actively work with Python / Django, AWS, ReactJS / TypeScript - however within this role you'll be largely working in the back end so will ideally have several years of commercial experience using Python.
You'll ideally have experience with the following;
** Developing Python / Django Applications.
** Working within an AWS Environment.
** MongoDB
** Project Leadership (even unofficial experience is fine!).
The following experience is highly desirable;
** Working with Agile environments
** DevOps
** ReactJS / TypeScript
** Working in a Consultancy / Engaging with Stakeholders
The organisation are based on the East-Side of Edinburgh, and they're hoping for this project you could work hybrid (1-2 days per-week) - however they do plan for this role to be pretty much fully remote once this important project has finished up (circa 6+ months).
In return, they can offer a salary of £50k to £80k (obviously dependent on experience) + Benefits. Their interview process is also really streamlined - just a quick two stage process with no nasty tech tests involved.
