SUMMARY:

Our client in the Banking Sector requires a Senior Learning Partner on a 12-month contract to enable a positive workforce experience for Group CoEs or designated business unit/corporate function/geography, by solutioning to address requirements. To partner with relevant stakeholders, driving efficiencies and commercial viability across design, development, and delivery of learning experiences within the business area(s). To understand strategy and shifts in CoE practice, implementing end-to-end solutions, prioritising, and aligning CoE initiatives implemented, to address needs.



POSITION INFO:

Key Requirements:

Strategy

  • Participate in the crafting of the Learning & Development strategy relevant to Engineering, based on an understanding of business context, in support of the overall Learning Domain strategy and aligned to the SBG practices.
  • Utilise Learning and Development Domain expertise to collaborate with relevant stakeholders, analysing and understanding the business need and translating this into an execution plan to address business needs as well as future Learning strategy needs.
  • Give consideration to strategic alignment when co-creating the business area(s)''s annual learning programme/dashboard as well as the longer term (2-3 year) learning approach to meet the future learning needs of the business.                  

Financial Management

  • Initiate discussions with service providers to discuss rates and catalogue item costs to support effective financial oversight for the CoE.
  • Analyse expenditure patterns and forecast expenditure, contributing to budget preparation, budget management, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maximise funding options for the specific business area by collaborating with the teams that liaise with local regulators and training bodies to identify alternative funding opportunities.
  • Review the performance of the service provider/s and verify adherence to clients’ Group (SBG) methodologies and processes by all relevant parties.

Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance

  • Adhere to the risk and governance framework for the respective CoE to ensure that risks are appropriately mitigated.
  • Monitor relevant learning subscriptions to ensure optimal utilisation of programme and software licenses, ensuring inactive licenses are redistributed and are allocated to positions where they will add value.
  • Achieve compliance with standards in terms of learning content and use of assessors and moderators by engaging with the learning operations team to support the process of regulatory engagement on the formal accreditation of learning programmes where accreditation is required.

Organisation Design

  • Provide input into Group CoE operating model and work capability design for the CoE to ensure the right people can deliver on the necessary functions and accountabilities.                            

People

  • Develop solution deployment plans; lead campaigns to generate solution awareness and demand by developing collateral materials and conducting presentations, to achieve awareness and visibility of internal offerings/people solutions and adoption thereof.
  • Implement agile methodologies, by mapping key employee journeys/initiatives, which address pain points identified within the CoE, to ensure an integrated and personalised workforce experience.
  • Support a highly attractive employee experience by checking for the availability of specialised skills in the design, development and creation of high-impact, innovative, future-fit quick-to-market, and digitally driven learning experiences; provide advice on the integration of learning into the various employee journeys.
  • Drive innovative and disruptive learning; create sustainable learning journeys and experiences, incorporating industry leading practice, to enable the workforce to meet continuously changing business priorities and challenges in terms of future skills and capabilities.
  • Drive a digital innovation learning approach by linking learning objectives to the clients’ competency library framework and recommending appropriate learning experiences to address capability and performance gaps; identify Group core and universal learning experiences to supplement the business specific learning initiatives.
  • Manage learning platform suppliers to ensure adherence to the agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA''s) and engage the learning platform suppliers to notify them of any inconsistencies or breaches in their SLA to optimise the digital ecosystem of partners.                            

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Sciences
  • Certifications, or Professional Memberships
  • Degree in Business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ODETDP (Occupationally directed education, training, and development Practitioner)
