Senior Lecturer: Applied Physics / Applied Mathematics / Engineering
Our client a leader in Academia and Higher Education is seeking an experienced academic to support teaching, research, and community engagement activities within Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering. The role includes lecturing, research supervision, and academic leadership, with a strong emphasis on applied research and industry collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Lecture and develop academic materials for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Conduct and publish research and supervise postgraduate students.

Contribute to curriculum development, student evaluation, and academic administration.

Engage in community and industry-focused projects.
Minimum Requirements:

Doctorate (NQF 10) in Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant Engineering field.

Minimum of 4 years’ lecturing or teaching experience.

Research outputs, including 1.5 credit units (publications, patents, or equivalent).

Supervision of Master’s students and conference presentations (including at least one international).

Active involvement in community engagement projects.
-
Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink.
