POSITION INFO:
Our client in Academia, a leader in Higher Education, is now hiring a Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor, with a focus on transportation engineering, traffic engineering, and pavement design. This role involves teaching, research, and community engagement, along with postgraduate supervision and academic leadership.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and lecture in allocated subjects.
-
Contribute to curriculum development and assessment.
-
Supervise postgraduate students.
-
Produce accredited research outputs and present at conferences.
-
Lead or participate in community and industry projects.
-
Apply advanced transportation and traffic modelling tools and design codes.
Minimum Requirements:
Senior Lecturer:
-
Master’s in Civil Engineering (NQF 9) with ECSA Pr Tech Eng./Pr Eng. registration; OR Doctorate (NQF 10) with Candidate registration and proof of application for Pr Eng.

At least 4 years’ teaching experience.

Research output and postgraduate supervision.

Expertise in transportation engineering, planning, modelling, and pavement design.
Associate Professor:
-
Doctorate in Civil Engineering (NQF 10) with ECSA Pr Tech Eng./Pr Eng. registration.

At least 6 years’ teaching experience.

Proven research leadership, including grant acquisition and international conference participation.

Track record of postgraduate supervision and publications.

Engagement in research communities and industry.
