SUMMARY:

The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for the post of a Senior Lecturer (Nursing) in the Faculty of Health Sciences

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• A PhD degree in Nursing
• Professional registration with SANC;
• At least 5 years’ teaching experience at tertiary education level;
• Experience in Nursing research;
• A track record of research publications in DHET accredited journals.
• Evidence of completed post graduate supervision.

 Additional Requirements

• Evidence of ongoing research activity and dissemination of research findings, including publications in accredited national or internationally-recognized research journals;
• Evidence of professional and/or academic standing in the field of specialization.
• Recognition as a scholar in Nursing
• Evidence of academic citizenship/community engagement.

DUTIES:  

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Nursing;
• Supervise Masters students;
• Undertake publishable academic research;
• Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research in nursing;
• Participate in day to day administrative duties related to the Department of Public Health and academic programs
