JOB SUMMARY:
The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate for the vacant position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Doctoral degree in Education with specialisation in English Language
  • A professional teaching qualification
  • A minimum of three years experience teaching English Language at tertiary level
  • Research and publication record in English Language Education.
  • Evidence of postgraduate supervision experience
  • Evidence of the ability to provide academic leadership
  • An ability to teach IsiXhosa will be an added advantage
DUTIES:
  • To teach English Language and any Education Studies Modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Supervising postgraduate students
  • Carry out research for publication
  • To engage in community outreach and collaborative activities.
  • To build capacity by mentoring student teachers and teachers in service
  • To participate in training and assessing student teachers for and during school-based work integrated learning
