JOB SUMMARY:
The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate for the vacant position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

Doctoral degree in Education with specialisation in English Language
A professional teaching qualification
A minimum of three years experience teaching English Language at tertiary level
Research and publication record in English Language Education.
Evidence of postgraduate supervision experience
Evidence of the ability to provide academic leadership
An ability to teach IsiXhosa will be an added advantage

DUTIES:

To teach English Language and any Education Studies Modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students
Supervising postgraduate students
Carry out research for publication
To engage in community outreach and collaborative activities.
To build capacity by mentoring student teachers and teachers in service
To participate in training and assessing student teachers for and during school-based work integrated learning
