Senior Lecturer: Speech Language Pathology (1 post)
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- A relevant Doctoral Degree
- Professional registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the category of Speech Therapist/Speech Therapist & Audiologist
- At least 3 years’ experience in higher education
- Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in Speech Language Pathology
- A record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
- Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer

- Evidence of successful external fundraising for research.
- Evidence of supporting early career academics.
- Recognition in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating).
- Evidence of networking and collaboration beyond one institution in research and/or teaching

Duties:- Participate in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules
- Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of senior lecturer level
- Secure external research grants
- Supervise postgraduate students
- Establish institutional, regional or national collaborations
- Contribute to mentorship of emergent academic staff
- Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research
- Participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels
