Senior Linux Administrator required to join global Software House based in Edinburgh on 6 month contract, inside IR35, offering a rate of £400-£425 per day. This role is offering hybrid working and will require you to be in the office 1 or 2 days a week.
The company are a market leading software house in their own specific niche, where thanks to numerous contracts wins over the last couple of years, they are busier than ever. Due to this they are investing heavily in technology and are looking to update key areas of their IT infrastructure. The main project you will be working on is the implementation of a brand new Linux based Data Warehouse that will be used to host a variety of niche applications/software. You will be expected to run this implementation from end to end and be expected to handle key areas such as data migration, server configuration/maintenance, and managing any virtual infrastructure and VDI software.
For this role you must have a number of years of experience working within a Linux based environment and be able to demonstrate solid Linux scripting experience. You will also have experience working with various configuration management tools such as puppet and show solid communication skills and the ability to act as a team lead throughout the project lifecycle.
