Senior Management Consultant

About our client:

Our client is a boutique consultancy firm that has been unleashing business potential since 2015 through consulting, facilitation, and training. They provide business and leadership solutions that focus on strategy, people, and operations for medium to large corporations. Their clients have a national, continental, and global economic footprint.

Key Purpose:

The Senior Management Consultant will contribute on client engagements, by developing work products, lead specific project initiatives, and act as a subject matter expert on projects. Client engagement activities include but are not limited to framing issues, problem-structuring, optimizing client processes, developing go-to-market strategies, organisational design and change management.

Areas of responsibility (Including but not limited to):

• Manage work efforts to contract specifications
• Support delivery assurance practices by participating in periodic project reviews and audits and maintaining accurate and timely project reporting
• Identify, document, and build up costs in an as-is environment
• Forecast and predict cost breakdowns in proposals or future-stated settings
• Serve as a subject matter expert
• Lead sub-project teams as required
• Cultivate successful client relationships
• Support business development efforts

Skills and experience:

• Proven quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills
• Excellent client interaction skills, collaborative work style, and strong interpersonal and team skills
• Ability to effectively plan and lead the correct processes to reach conclusions/consensus in a facilitated meeting and positively handle disruptive or hostile participants
• Knowledge of the various levels of listening, ability to choose the right level depending on the situation
• Ability to objectively restate the opinions of others
• Ability to select and use appropriate tools for the job and perform technical research as required supplementing and supporting methodologies in delivering solutions to clients
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio) to accomplish daily business activities and facilitate communications
• Ability to design and develop technical reference documentation for project work plans, guidelines, standards, procedures, and processes that meet the needs of the target audience
• Ability to identify key issues, analyse data, and make recommendations to address problems
• Outstanding integrity and the ability to always seek to do the right thing for the client and the company
• Ability to think globally and discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues
• Ability to respect and appreciate different personality styles, thinking, backgrounds, and cultures

Education & additional requirements

• Master’s in Organisational Psychology, Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Organisational Change or any Human Resource Management Masters in essential
• Project management skills
• Organisational design and change management is essential
• Membership of professional institutions
• 3+ years of business management, project management or consulting experience is essential
