SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Senior Manager – Communications, Corporate & Office Image Management for a 5-year fixed term contract based in East London, Eastern Cape.
POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
- Post Graduate Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies, or Public Relations
- 8+ years working experience of which 5 years must be at middle management or senior consultancy level in communications, PR, or marketing role
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:- Strategy & governance – develop operational plans; provide input and recommended corrective actions; develop strategy and guidelines for SOP’s; oversee business intelligence tools implementation; ensure reports are timeous / correct; participate in management forums; facilitate communication through systems
- Oversee corporate communications – develop/manage communication strategies; enhance relationships; create, implement, and measure success of communication interventions and PR programmes; ensure strong/preferential social media; define/implement communication policies; provide advice on internal / external communication; provide support at events / initiatives etc
- Content generation – build brand identify and online presence; develop electronic and hard copy documentation; develop content for reports
- External communication oversight – develop social media strategy as well as website / social media content; sharing content to raise brand awareness
- Digital communications – implement / oversee production of digital marketing campaigns; conceptualize / implement new and creative digital growth; plan digital marketing campaigns; manage/executive campaigns to drive sales; measure digital campaigns success
- Intranet – drive / manage continuous development; monitor / evaluate / report weekly on progress
- Corporate / office image management – formulate strategies, plans, budgets; formulate broad based marketing policies; marketing function – advertising, brand building, channel promotion and product positioning; oversee professionalism of reception services, as well as corporate look and feel
- Direct, lead and manage internal engagement; represent at development forums
- Budget management of unit – manage and control budget; evaluate unit performance; implement corrective measures; authorize payments; capital expenditure forecasting
- People management – develop succession plans; adhere to EE and recruitment policies; manage performance; identify training and manage discipline / absenteeism
- Stakeholder management – Build / lead an effective team and gauge team performance
