POSITION INFO:

Senior Manager Investor Relations | Johannesburg
Our client, a leading Financial Services Corporation, is on the hunt for an experienced Senior Manager in
Investor Relations.

Purpose:
Generate a consistent investor experience by carrying out investor engagement and building and
maintaining relationships with existing and potential equity and investors to increase and strengthen the
company’s position in the market.

Desired Skills and Requirements:
ï‚· Post-graduate degree in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Finance or Economics
ï‚· Registered chartered accountant with South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, or
Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (preferred)
ï‚· Previous experience in investor relations (preferred)
ï‚· 5 – 8 years of experience in a finance or actuarial role within a financial services or insurance
environment
ï‚· Exposure in analyzing financial statements and conducting performance reviews
ï‚· Strong financial analytical and relationship building skills

Responsibilities
ï‚· Execute the investor relation strategy for the company.
o Design investor communication plan and material by liaising across functions to acquire
and incorporate information from the finance, marketing, balance sheet management,
tax, legal and accounting teams.
o Create and update a consistent external message by drafting key financial statements,
presentations and analysis for use by management during investor appointments,
including trading and operating updates and financial commentary.
o Manage the creation and development of investor relations marketing material,
documentation and presentations for both equity and debt investors.
o Manage the investor relations website and development of a communication plan to
ensure engaging content is regularly uploaded on the website.

o Support the creation of thought-leadership and industry update communications to
investors.
o Identify new potential investor relationships to develop and create an engagement plan
to convert them into investors through multiple touch points.
o Develop and maintain an investor relations plan for the company.
o Attend industry conferences, networking events and seminars on an ad-hoc basis to
represent the company, build existing relationships and identify new relationships.
o Coordinate with the Financial Planning & Business Insights team to provide on-going
market and competitor research, including monitoring of peer performance, investment
vehicles and financial strategies.
