Senior Manager : Biodiversity Offset Project

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior Manager : Biodiversity Offset Project, for a 5 year contract vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences (Environmental Sciences / Conservation / Ecology / Zoology / Botany)
• 10 years relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years in a management role
• Project management experience advantageous
• Valid driver’s license

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Project management – oversight, quality and compliance – ensure audits and deadlines are achieved
• Stakeholder management – Build and maintain relationships
• Community development – develop opportunities for SMME projects
• Rehabilitation / management of declared sites – ensure plan is implemented and enforced
• Establish / declare offset areas – negotiate offset areas with local communities and declare areas
• People management – recruit staff as needed and ensure HR policies and strategies are implemented
• Financial management – Manage budget and manage financial use whilst ensuring compliance with government / organizational directives & prescripts

Salary:  R-----.00 – R-----.00 per annum for the 5 year contract
