Senior Manager - Investment Project Developments, East London, 5-year contract

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Senior Manager – Investment Projects Development for a 5-year fixed term contract role based in East London, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Post Graduate Degree in Commerce or related
• 8+ years working experience of which 5 years must be at middle management or senior consultancy level with project appraisal and deal structuring, investments project preparation, or investment management, or investment project development

• Strategic planning and governance – develop unit plans; enhance/implement treasury systems, process, procedures, tools & control systems; ensure timeous reporting; implement controls; manage and support audits; participate in management forums; facilitate dept communications
• Investment projects development – develop/maintain up to date pipeline of investment projects; develop professionally published project profiles; drive project design; promote Eastern Cape; advise investors; mobilization of funding; participate/represent at industry events; host foreign and local incoming investors; conduct workshops
• Research – identify opportunities; research value propositions; provide input on policies / legislation; present research outputs
• Provincial investment council coordination – provide support; write / distribute project reports; initiative publication of success stories and project specific brochures; financial management
• Stakeholder management – Liaise / build partnerships; build / lead team; arrange, attend / contribute to meetings
• Budget management of unit – Manage, control budget; evaluate unit performance; recommend corrective measures; prepare budget transfer requests
• People management – assign responsibilities; develop succession plans; manage performance; manage discipline / absenteeism; motivate staff and gauge their performance
