Senior Manager/ Product Manager Finance & HR - Contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client a global tech firm is seeking a Senior Manager/ Product Manager Finance & HR to join their team in Sandton on a contract basis . They offer stability, growth, exposure, Competitive rates and a great working environment.

As a Product Manager, you'll be responsible for the development of new IT products and services. You will work closely with other internal teams in order to deliver a range of products across multiple markets. You should have experience managing people as well as working on your own leadership skills to develop a team that can support each other throughout projects.

Requirements

Develop a short, medium and long term product strategy, in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
Provide input into the overall strategy and roadmap for IT product/application landscape
Oversee regular scrutiny of the developed strategy to keep up-to-date with latest trends in the external environment and budget for changes taking place within the organization
Work closely with the Demand Manager to set clear priorities for product development. Ensure that the product is developed and deployed in the agreed upon time and budget
Experience with design of IT product strategies and roadmaps
Ensure stringent vendor management for the development, maintenance and testing of all outsourced products (SAP)
Responsible for setting the short, medium and long term vision of product/product line
Responsible for managing overall product line lifecycle and ensuring cost optimum solutions and maintaining reports on planned v/s actual spend

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science or Related Field.
8-10 years’ experience in IT, of which at least 5 years’ experience as a product manager or an application specialist/developer
3-5 years strategic planning
1 year tactical planning and execution against operational plans
