Senior Manager Projects

SUMMARY:
To manage the Projects Department and render technical input to the Chemical Division, including the company group when required

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications & Experience Required

 

• BSc /BEng Degree or equivalent

• A tertiary qualification in Project Management and certification with an accredited project management  body will be advantageous

• 10 years’ experience in project management of which 5 years at senior Management Level

• Knowledge and experience of managing projects in the chemical and metallurgical environment will be advantageous to the applicant

• Sound leadership and management skills

 

Headline key result areas

 

• Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures

• Render services to the production and maintenance department

• Ensure effective management of projects in terms of the project cost, schedule, quality and safety

• Ensure effective communication with external and internal customers

• Ensure effective management of contractors

• Compile annual budgets in terms of departmental needs and divisional capital expenditure

• Ensure effective administration of projects

• Ensure effective management of departmental team

• Ensure SHEQ compliance with goal of ZERO HARM
