SUMMARY:
Our client in the Retail Sector, has an opportunity available for a Senior Manager SCP: Perishables and DCs in the Cape Town area.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

BCOM Logistics / Degree in Quantitative Analytics / Operational Research / Industrial Engineering / Applied Mathematics
7+ years supply chain planning with 5+ experience managing people
Information technology and automation knowledge
Economics and market dynamics
Understand cost-to-serve
Project management skills
Knowledge of Commercial Strategy and budgets
Knowledge of DC and Stores Operations
Understanding of the processes and procedures within the division
Sound knowledge of business/system rules used by planning teams
Cross-functional and stakeholder collaboration
Must have fresh planning experience

KPAs:

Formulate department strategy
Have a good understanding of value chain cost and income components and the role planning plays to influence these levers
Implement processes and systems to optimize the execution of strategic buy-ins for maximized DC Margin
Understand and track vendor income targets and actual numbers
Work with teams to formulate strategies that will result in improved ways of work through improved processes, planning tools, reports and system developments.
Strategic Sales Planning & Operational Execution
Strategic Stakeholder Integration
Provide input on promo & pricing strategies based on category performance and annualization
Lead through people and build winning teams
Deep understanding of the retail value chain and cost and income elements that influence profitability
