Senior Manager - Technical Accounting and Reporting

SUMMARY:
Our client in the banking industry has an EE opportunity available for a Senior Manager - Technical Accounting and Reporting, to be based in the Midrand area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• CA (SA)
• 10 -7 years post articles experience in relevant banking environment in a managerial position
• Knowledge and understanding of Income Tax Act, IFRS accounting standards, Vat Act, Bank Act, Labour Legislation MS Office skills
• Deadline driven

KPAs:

• Preparation of the Group Financial statements including the Group entities
• Review and sign off annual financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness and confidentiality of the statements, prior to the release thereof
• To provide technical accounting opinion that cover
• Recognition and measurement in the underlying system and financial systems
• Reporting and disclosing in the AFS
• Defining internal accounting policy standards
• Develop and lead in delivery the year end audit with
• Project management of the audit
• Dealing audit queries during the audit
• Managing the audit engagement with Business and External audit team
• Undertaking valuation of group entities when required
• Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance
• Keep the client informed about progress through written communication, telephone communications, and/or face-to-face meetings
• Management of Resources
