SUMMARY:
Our client in the banking industry has an EE opportunity available for a Senior Manager - Technical Accounting and Reporting, to be based in the Midrand area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

CA (SA)
10 -7 years post articles experience in relevant banking environment in a managerial position
Knowledge and understanding of Income Tax Act, IFRS accounting standards, Vat Act, Bank Act, Labour Legislation MS Office skills
Deadline driven

KPAs:

Preparation of the Group Financial statements including the Group entities
Review and sign off annual financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness and confidentiality of the statements, prior to the release thereof
To provide technical accounting opinion that cover

Recognition and measurement in the underlying system and financial systems
Reporting and disclosing in the AFS

Defining internal accounting policy standards
Develop and lead in delivery the year end audit with

Project management of the audit
Dealing audit queries during the audit
Managing the audit engagement with Business and External audit team

Undertaking valuation of group entities when required
Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance
Keep the client informed about progress through written communication, telephone communications, and/or face-to-face meetings
Management of Resources
