SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing and overseeing projects; the management of the consulting and in-house Engineers; checking and approving analytical calculations and empirical simulations; and checking and approving CAD models and manufacturing drawings.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Set up project requirements and the scope
Manage multiple complex projects at the same
Ensure that our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer standards/requirements
Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget
Task delegation and tracking
Management of the engineering team
Interaction with customers
Site visits
Strongly focused in project management and design, from conception to completion
Strong design and mechanical, structural analysis competency
Supervise both Mechanical Engineers and Draftsmen, both within their own project scope as well as others
Ability to conduct structural analysis on chassis designs

Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):

Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering
5 years work experience in a relevant field of engineering
2 years' experience working as a lead
CAD experience (SolidWorks)
Work using a product management system (Team Centre)
Hands-on experience with mining logistics
Proficient in Office products such as Teams, Excel and Word
