In this role, you will lead the design and development of high-performance composite components and structures, ensuring innovative, lightweight, and robust solutions across our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mechanical design of composite components, from concept to production release.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings to industry standards.
• Select appropriate composite materials, lay-up strategies, and manufacturing processes (e.g., prepreg, RTM, filament winding, vacuum infusion).
• Perform structural analysis and optimization of composite designs using FEA tools.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and materials engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and production efficiency.
• Support prototype builds, testing campaigns, and performance validation activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, design best practices, and material innovation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical design within the composites industry (aerospace, automotive, marine, sporting goods, industrial, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Creo).
• Solid understanding of composite material behavior, laminate theory, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, HyperWorks or similar) for composite structures.
• Excellent knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and industry standards.
• Strong project leadership skills and ability to manage complex design tasks.
• Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
