Senior Nursing Services Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is a respected and well-known development and property management company who manages a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, leisure, and retail properties within the Western Cape. An opportunity has become available for a Senior Nursing Services Manager at two of their exclusive retirement villages in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Specific duties include but is not limited to the following:

• Staffing and Staff Management
• Training
• Admissions and Discharges
• Resident and Family Interaction
• Village Residents and Services Offered
• Handover:
• Nursing and Care:
• Risk Management and Emergencies
• Administration, Reporting and ECP
• Financial
• Overall Management of the Healthcare Facility
• Stock

Requirements:

• Qualifications - Relevant nursing qualification as Registered Nurse, SANC registered
• Experience - 5 -10 years of experience in nursing, experience in geriatrics advantageous, experience in a similar leadership position, recent hospital experience
• Skills and Knowledge - Strong interpersonal skills, professional communication, managerial skills, making sound decisions, computer literate, fluent in English. Dementia care, frail care, sub acute, palliative care, rehab, strokes
• Ability to work under pressure and lead a team, professional, focused, compassion for the elderly, be able to converse with people on different levels - staff, families, MDT and other professionals coming into the facility, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Working Hours - Normal working days are Monday to Friday, 07h00 to 17h00 with a 60 minute lunch break. As the manager of the facility, you are required to be available after hours to tend to emergencies

Benefits:

• Salary on offer from R55,000 per month plus a generous travel allowance. 20 days of annual leave and exposure to both internal and external training. All Nursing Service Managers receive a company cell phone and are reimbursed for business related travel at the prevailing SARS rate.
