As Plant Foreman, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the processing plant, ensuring that resources, people, and equipment are effectively managed to achieve production targets.

    Lead and supervise plant operations to achieve diamond recovery targets
    Location: Woodstock, Johannesburg-based rotation | Salary: R55, 000 - R65, 000

    The Role: Plant Foreman
    As Plant Foreman, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the processing plant, ensuring that resources, people, and equipment are effectively managed to achieve production targets. You will lead a team of operators, support process audits, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee day-to-day plant operations and allocate resources to meet production targets

    • Supervise and develop team members, ensuring training, skills transfer, and succession planning

    • Interpret plant readings and make adjustments to optimise production efficiency

    • Support process audits and metallurgical test work, reporting on findings and progress

    • Ensure compliance with statutory, company, and client policies and procedures

    • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure safe working conditions across all shifts

    • Identify variances and implement corrective actions in a timely manner

    • Manage reporting, shift handovers, and communication systems within the plant

    • Enforce discipline and manage performance in line with company standards

    • Uphold safety, health, security, and environmental requirements

    About You

    • Minimum 5 years experience in a diamond mining environment (essential)

    • At least 5 years experience in DMS and recovery or separation technology (minimum)

    • More than 10 years experience in DMS and recovery or separation technology (advantageous)

    • Solid knowledge of processing plants, DMS, and recovery circuits

    • Understanding of metallurgical best practices and industry standards

    • Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations in mining operations

    • Basic computer literacy (MS Office)

    • Strong coaching, teamwork, and leadership skills

    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment

    • Clear criminal record (security/police clearance required)
