Senior Paraplanner - Advice and Product Specialist

SUMMARY:
Senior Paraplanner with a CFP or Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and minimum 5 years’ experience exposure to Unit Trusts, Personal Share Portfolios and Risk Insurance, required to assist the Financial Planners, of this JSE listed FSP, based in Bellville, Cape Town, with their proposals.

POSITION INFO:

Senior Paraplanner with a CFP or Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and minimum 5 years’ experience exposure to Unit Trusts, Personal Share Portfolios and Risk Insurance, required to assist the Financial Planners, of this JSE listed FSP, based in Bellville, Cape Town, with their proposals.

Minimum requirements:

• CFP or Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning required preferred, or in the process of obtaining the qualification
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience essential
• Experience in writing a record of advice required
• Exposure to Unit Trusts, Personal Share Portfolios and Risk Insurance required
• Knowledge and experience of financial planning landscape in SA required – investment, risk, estate and tax planning, essential
• Awareness of changes in Technical Investment environment required

Responsibilities:

• Support formulation of company’s Technical Financial Planning house view and policies
• Assist Financial Planners with their proposals
• Write Advice Plans
• Identify any risks and challenges in the proposals
• Support business drive to standardise advice processes, tools and documentation
• Technical Financial Planning support to Advisers – queries, proposals and presentations
• Sign-off large client financial planning proposals
• Identify training needs, develop training material and conduct training via webinars, workshops, etc
• Write and publish articles and newsletters
• Perform product and service provider due diligence
• Conduct training to ensure continuous upskilling of advisers
• Provide technical legal support to company and team
• Perform ongoing industry research to support advisers and company
