A leading global group within the education sector has a vacancy for a Senior Payroll Manager.Â

Summary of Role

In collaboration with the organisationâ€™s Head Office Team in South Africa. The person is responsible for the 13 Payroll & HR systems, including the implementation of day to day Payroll activities to manage the payroll and benefits offerings within the business. The Payroll Manager serves as a member of the Head Office team, directing the efforts of Payroll relations across the business and creating a quality-driven Payroll Environment with clearly defined business processes, responsibilities and ownerships.

Requirements of the role

At least 10 yearsâ€™ experience in payroll management, of which at least 3 years need to be at managerial level, on a company of more than 800 employees
Previous exposure to SAGE Payroll, ODBC reporting and HR systems is a prerequisite
Demonstrated system knowledge in at least 2 payroll or HR systems, such as SuccessFactors (SAP) and VIP
Advanced Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups)
Matric and a relevant HR or Payroll System Diploma
Post â€“ secondary education is advantageous
Experience in the education sector is advantageous
Ability to work independently; receives minimal guidance on day-today work and new projects assignments
Attention to detail, methodical and place strong emphasis on confidentiality
Committed to deadlines and quick turnaround times
Speed, accuracy and follow through
Thorough understanding of South African Labour Law
Strong analytical and project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Confident and dynamic personality
Project Management experience
Experience in working for a multi-national organistation
Approachable and willing to assist and work as part of a team.
