Participate in and support the gathering, analysis and understanding of People/HR Data.

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Job      

The purpose of the Senior People Data, Insights and MIS Specialist role is to participate in and support the gathering, analysis and understanding of the People function’s data and analytics requirements and translating these requirements into analytics and providing technical solutions that meet the relevant business objectives. This role ensures the provision of meaningful data insights, MIS and reporting which can be used proactively by the broader People team to improve People practices, productivity and decision making. Additionally, the role provides support to the People Reporting Analysts as required and works across multiple People functions to validate data integrity.

Job Objectives            

  • Employee Centric Delivery
    • Executing on strategies for effective data analysis and reporting including transactional, BW and additional report requirements as required.
    • Liaising with Solutions, Services and the Local People Teams to understand and document their data and analytics requirements. 
    • Adopting multiple actions with stakeholders to elicit reporting and MIS requirements. 
    • Providing functional knowledge and input during planning, design and implementation of initiatives between Data, Insights and MIS and Solutions, Services and the Local People Teams. 
    • Applying end to end functional execution to deliver data and analytics requirements. 
    • Together with the functional Lead, Senior Specialist and other Data stakeholders, participating in the selection, configuration and implementation of analytics solutions for the People function.
    • Together with the functional Lead, Senior Specialist and other Data stakeholders, participating in the extraction and building of reports from multiple sources for the People function Managing the analysis of raw people data to inform people insights. 
    • Together with the functional Lead and Senior Specialist and other People leader stakeholders, participating in reporting including monitoring & evaluation of operational performance insights and recommendations. 
    • Managing the generation of data insights in the People planning processes in collaboration with Solutions, Services and the Local People Teams.   
  • People (Self, Team & Organisational) 
    • Aligning participation to deliver the relevant People Data, Insights and MIS solutions and services to the business. 
    • Participating in the enablement of an innovative, agile and employee centric culture where employees are supported, empowered and valued within the People Data, Insights and MIS team.
    • Participating in the enablement of an employee wellness culture within the People Data, Insights and MIS team to ensure that employees are supported mentally, physically and emotionally. Participating in the enablement of a culture of open and transparent communication within the People Data, Insights and MIS team.  
    • Financial, Reporting & BI Monitoring of People Data, Insights and MIS costs whilst ensuring service delivery to the Group.
    • Collection and use of People data and business intelligence to transform the delivery of services and solutions throughout the People function.  
    • Governance & Compliance  Ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative governance frameworks, legislation and standards.
    • Adhering to governance structures, policies, processes, frameworks applicable to the role.
    • Ensuring data management processes adhere to continually changing privacy and legal compliance requirements.  
  • Future-Fit
    • Participating in the integration and effective flow of work with other solution areas and business. Identifying relevant technology requirements for the People Data, Insights and MIS team and ensuring optimal utilisation thereof.
    • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the People Data, Insights and MIS function and related processes, to ensure ongoing process efficiency.

Qualifications 

Degree in BSc in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management or equivalent

Required Experience      

  • +4 years in a Data Analytics, reporting, BI and systems orientated or equivalent role, delivering data, insights, reports and inputs to management information systems in an HR environment within related HR data and reporting frameworks, policies, procedures and guidelines. 
  • Experience within the FMCG, retail sector or similar. 
  • We value practical learning experiences, in the event that a candidate does not have a degree, demonstrable relevant experience will be considered.
  • A proven track record of delivering Data Analytics, reporting, BI and systems in a retail environment.
