Senior Portfolio Manager

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

• Actively manage fixed income portfolios.
• Generate positive excess returns by applying the full range of investment strategies using a variety of eligible fixed income instruments.
• Use analytical and modelling techniques to analyse and understand the current global economic trends and their impact on the fixed income asset classes as well as the relationship with other asset classes.
• Coordinate, consolidate and finalise reports and proposals based on research and analysis conducted.
• Lead research and project presentations to key stakeholders within his/her area of expertise in support of departmental objectives.
• Provide constructive inputs and recommendations to the review of the Reserves Management Investment Policy as well as the Strategic Asset Allocation and Investment Guidelines.
• Ensure that the methodologies applied in his/her area of specialisation comply with local and international standards, and reflect best practice internationally.

• A postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Economics and/or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience; and
• 8-10 years of work experience in the financial markets environment
