POSITION INFO:
Technical Support: You will be responsible for effectively resolving escalated issues through thorough root cause analysis and providing concise reporting. You will also handle internal change requests, ensuring their submission, deployment, communication, and follow-up for repeated requests/issues
3rd Line Support: You will provide 3rd line support functions for the Postillion and Imbeko environments, ensuring the review of production platforms for stability and performing necessary maintenance and housekeeping tasks
Enhancements and Automation: You will identify enhancements to improve supportability, operability, automation, and performance of systems. Additionally, you will maintain internal servers and perform day-to-day IT admin tasks
Incident Tracking and Reporting: You will track and report on incidents, conducting SQL/PostgreSQL scripting and database maintenance as required
Troubleshooting and Escalation: You will work independently to troubleshoot all support requests and follow escalation processes, ensuring timely resolution
Implementation and Updates: You will be responsible for the implementation of application software, APIs, component updates, and patches
Key Competencies Attributes:
Education and Experience: You should have a Matric qualification and a post-graduate qualification in Information Technology or a similar field. A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role is required
Technical Skills: Possessing SQL and/or PostgreSQL qualification is essential, and developer software experience is advantageous. Strong technical skills, ideally in the Postilion/Imbeko Application suite with SQL/Postgres working experience, are highly desired. Experience in transactional payment processes and financial transaction processing is advantageous
Analytical Abilities: You should have exceptional analytical abilities, including the interpretation of large data sets and logical problem-solving skills
Action-Oriented: You should be proactive, taking initiative to drive actions and improvements
Collaboration: You value collaboration and seek to understand before being understood. You communicate your actions and intentions clearly, both verbally and in written form
