POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Lead process engineering activities across studies, projects, and operational improvement initiatives. Develop process designs, mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Conduct process simulations, equipment sizing, and process optimisation studies. Support feasibility studies, concept development, detailed design, commissioning, and plant start-up activities. Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, throughput, recovery, safety, and sustainability. Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary project teams. Conduct process investigations, root cause analyses, and troubleshooting activities. Develop and review technical specifications, reports, and engineering deliverables. Liaise with clients, operations teams, equipment suppliers, and project stakeholders. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, engineering standards, and best practices. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 8 years' experience in process engineering within mining, mineral processing, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments. Proven experience across project and operational environments. Strong knowledge of process design, optimisation, and plant performance improvement. Experience with process simulation software and engineering design tools. Exposure to feasibility studies, detailed design, commissioning, and plant support activities. Strong understanding of process safety and risk management principles. Professional registration with ECSA or progress towards registration will be advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
