Senior Product Manager required for a growing Technology company based just to the east of Glasgow.
The company:
They operate in the logistics space and have been continually growing over the last year. They started out by specialising in logistics however they have now developed into a technology company also and have developed their own software platform. Even throughout Covid, they have been growing as they are busy and winning new clients, with these roles purely a result of this and the upcoming work. They have been "busier than ever". They are in fact recruiting for three Product Manager positions, to join an existing product team of five. The business as a whole is around 100 in total and they have been operating for over 20 years.
With an office based just east of Glasgow, their hope is to return to the office quite soon however they are going to be flexible with working from home and will likely go to a hybrid model (like a lot of businesses).
The role:
This position can be for a Product Manager who has been heading up a product function or simply has been a more senior member of the team - they are flexible on the individuals they will hire. What you do have to be is adaptable and eager to learn a new product stream as well as a potentially new market altogether.
This position will be to support both external and internal customers and you will be working on both the platform as well as helping to develop the back-end (alongside the Dev team). You will have end-to-end control of the product and this will be concept through to delivery and beyond. The key for this role is to have someone who has worked alongside multiple parts of the business from Software, to Marketing to Sales and who can deliver roadmaps. You will also work closely with the client''s in order to develop potential new features. Someone who can think like the customer, would also be very beneficial.
The person and skills required:
** Define the product development enhancements, (features, user experience, application flow and optimisations) and drive ongoing product initiatives in close collaboration with the Engineering Team
** Define product specifications using high-level wireframes, flow diagrams and clear and consistent user stories
** An understanding of UI/UX
** Full product lifecycle experience
** Experience working with not only the Development team, but also different parts of the business including Sales, Marketing, Business Development etc
** Strong client facing experience
** Break down product requirements into user stories, participating in development sprints and support Sales & Marketing in taking the product/project to market
** Monitor market trends, analyse competitive products and activities
