SUMMARY:
Senior Production Quality Controller urgently required at a client in Johannesburg. Our client operates within the Mining and Heavy Industrial environment. The person we require will ensure that the quality function is maintained within the production environment Our Client has a presence in Africa and abroad.

POSITION INFO:

PRODUCTION QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR

Johannesburg

Senior Production Quality Controller responsibility for ensuring that the quality function is maintained within the production environment.

Our client design,manufacture and repair heavy Mining and Industrial equipment for clients in SA , Africa and internationally

The Senior Quality Controller will ensure that all Quality Standards are met when equipment are Designed, Manufactured, Maintaned or Refurbish.

Qualification and previous experience needed

Matric
Quality related qualification
Qualified artisan from a machining or fabrication environment will be an advantage
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Ability to read and use measuring equipment
Ability to plan and manage time effectively
Proficient in MS Office
Strong report writing skills and record keeping skills
Able to handle conflict and address differences

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and approve fabrications and components at suppliers
Conducting visual and measurement checksat suppiers
Inspect in-process production for relevance to Quality Standards
Communicate changes on Quality standards to departments within the company
Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI’s) on the finished product
Report deviations
Ensuring that the deviations are correctly repaired or re-worked
Writing of inspection reports
Maintain OHSA and SANS Standards
Ensures that ISO quality standards are met
