SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Output/Core Tasks:
- Establish necessary Program/Project Governance and structures
- Facilitate process for Business Case development and approval
- Ensure alignment between approved Business Case & project delivery
- Define & manage the project in accordance with the Project Management methodology, governance & standards
- Accountable for resource contracting and optimal utilisation
- Effective Risk, Issue, Actions, Budget & Dependency management
- Smooth transition from project implementation to ongoing BAU Support & Maintenance
- Accountable for procurement process, vendor contracting & delivery management in accordance with contractual agreements
- Effective utilization of project management forums for reporting, escalation & decision making (Project-, Steercom- & Investment committee meetings)
- Facilitate prioritization process of scope items across multiple business entities based on:
- Available capacity
- Budget availability
- Expected business benefit realisation
- Establish iterative / agile-based teams, sprints, necessary ceremonies and cadences
- Track progress through agile-based tools including burndown charts, velocity, remaining prioritised backlog.
- Apply formal Change Management process (scope, budget, timeline) and align with the business case
- Stakeholder management - establish and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Relevant IT or Project Management qualification.
Experience:
- > 8 years of experience in managing multi-million-rand projects or programs reporting into Executive Management
- Applicable experience in managing outsourced projects in a multi-vendor environment
- Proven performance record in managing Infrastructure/Technical projects
- Solid experience in Business Case Development and estimations
- Solid experience in applying the Agile methodology
- Establishing and Managing Scrum teams
- Experience of legacy and modern technologies
- Experience in managing the change that comes with migration/modernisation from legacy to open system technologies.
- Relevant experience in managing projects in Financial Services.
- Proven experience in the Collections and Payment system environment (e.g. knowledge of stop orders; debit orders; Debicheck and new payment technologies)
