Senior Project Manager – Cloud & Tax Domain

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive project delivery from business case to execution using structured PM methodologies
• Maintain alignment between business objectives and delivery outcomes
• Lead planning, budgeting, risk management, and issue resolution
• Coordinate procurement processes and manage vendor deliverables in line with SLAs
• Monitor team capacity, prioritise deliverables, and facilitate governance forums
• Transition completed projects to operational support seamlessly
• Establish and lead Agile teams with full Agile ceremonies and delivery tracking
• Apply structured change control and ensure it is aligned with the original business case
• Foster strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business functions

Required Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Formal qualification in Project Management or IT

Required Experience:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience leading high-value projects with reporting into Programme Management
• Solid experience in managing cloud-based technical projects (preferably AWS)
• Demonstrated understanding of migration from legacy to cloud or modern platforms
• Background in managing change within complex IT landscapes
• Prior involvement in financial services-related projects
• Exposure to South African Tax systems or similar regulatory environments is advantageous
• Skilled in Agile delivery and setting up Scrum teams

• Project management principles, methodologies, tools, and lifecycle
• Agile metrics and artefacts (burndown charts, velocity, backlog management)
• SDLC, business case development, and resource planning
• Procurement, vendor, and contract management
• RFP/RFI lifecycle
• JIRA and other Agile delivery tools
