The Project Manager is responsible for the success of the overall Project by providing a framework or structure that enables the implementation of the business solution / product and management of the project(s) across product disciplines within and outside of the organisation.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To analyse and present to the Customer the benefits that can be realised by implementing the project.
  • To understand the individual projects and their purpose to fulfil and manage the Customer''s needs.
  • To identify interdependencies (resources, priorities, project deliverables etc) and manage them to integrate seamlessly to the benefit of the Customer.
  • To portray a single point of entry with regards to delivery of the solution to the Customer.
  • To ensure that the organisation''s brand is engrained in the project.
  • To manage delivery against contracts.
  • To manage the relationship and delivery of sub-contractors.
  • To ensure project success by managing the risks.
  • To manage project scope.
  • To ensure that the project as a whole produces the required products to the defined standard of quality.
  • To complete the project within the allocated cost and time constraints.
  • Document all aspects of the project for approval by the allocated project resources and stakeholders.
  • Plan the aspects of the project and agree the plan with the team members and project sponsor.
  • Define resource requirements and build project team.
  • Define individual responsibilities for the project team.
  • Agree reporting frequency with project team and project sponsor.
  • Define and enforce project standards and controls for the project team.
  • Monitor progress of all aspects of the project.
  • Day to day direction of the team.
  • Review and implement all related Change Controls and agree impact on project.
  • Understand and operate project to terms of contract.
  • Plan control implementation.
  • Change Control.
  • Create and Maintain project Schedule.
  • Tracking of issues logged for project
  • Budget tracking
  • Resource planning and tracking
  • Project planning and tracking thereof
  • Resource management and task allocation
  • Risk, issue and dependency management
  • Interface and integration management
  • Management of Deliverables, target dates and integration
  • Communication management
  • Management reporting (on a weekly and later daily basis)
  • Client liaison
  • Presentations
  • Motivation of team members and clients
  • Project administration and documentation
  • Management of scope creeping activities
  • Enhance client relationship
  • Team Administration, which will include Timesheet Maintenance
  • Setting up the Project Plans
  • Monitoring the Project
  • Managing the resources on the project
  • Risk Analysis.
Skills and Experience:

Qualification Essential Competency:

  • B.Comm, or PMP

Qualification preferred education:

  • Degree or qualification in Supply Chain

Experience required:

  • Must have experience in managing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as Infor, SAP, Oracle etc.
  • Must have completed at least 5 full SDLC implementation projects in the role of PM.
