Senior Project Manager

SUMMARY:
Our Gauteng based client seeks the services of an established Senior Project Manager to perform project portfolio management and resource capacity planning.

POSITION INFO:

• Project Portfolio Management and Resource Capacity Planning
• Determine and define project scope and objectives and Resource Utilisation Management
• Track project costs in order to meet budget and Leading project planning sessions
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively & efficiently
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Project Cost Management to meet Project Budget Expectations
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plans for all projects
• Ensuring projects meet deadlines, Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, tools, and standards throughout the project life cycle
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
• Managing relationships with clients, stakeholders, Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
• Participating in tender process i.e., Scope, Time & Cost estimation, review and submission
• Project Risk Management, Managing large and diverse teams

Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor''s degree in computer science, business, or a related field, 5-8 years of project management and related experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred and Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Excellent analytical skills and Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
