SUMMARY:
One of our top clients is looking for a Senior Project Manager to fill an urgent requirement on contract for 6 months. This can become a long term engagement, however will depend on individual performance and project continuity.

POSITION INFO:

PM for BPP work stream – Senior PM role
The Company has 8 core open pit mining operations across Brazil, Chile, Peru, Botswana and South Africa that work in silos. As the best practices are not identified, codified and documented, there is challenge on how to share and apply best practices to deliver sustainable performance.
To sustainably embed technical excellence within the Company, the company needs a structured approach to ensure knowledge is appropriately captured and transferred. Only by achieving operational excellence and adopting a continuous improvement mindset, the company will achieve its Burning Ambition, and continue to keep its competitive advantage and lead the transformation of the mining industry.
We are currently Assisting Group Mining to look for a Senior PM to help them with one of our Programmes to Coordinate the Programme and do document control.
The high-level scope of work is as follows:
The Role:
This Project Manager needs to manage and lead the following:
1.     The formulation of a Best Practise Toolkit
2.     Conduct the Sites Gap analysis with the assistance of the Company specialists.
3.     Manage Change by applying Change Management principles
4.     Ensure that the New Best Practice is adapted and implemented on site
5.     Manage the stabilisation activities after implementation.
PM Spec:
Project Coordination
-            Strategy management support to Program manager
-            Define, manage and track program schedules (BPP development and wave 1 implementation)
-            Overall Project Management (budget, changes, scope, etc)
-            Prepare High Quality executive presentations
-            Coordinate meetings with stakeholders
-            Support T&S Subject Matter experts on the BPP implementations
Document Control
-            BPPs review and formatting
-            Approval Workshop: Manage and Track approvals and reviews
-            BPP document and register control (include review, codes, manage the master list of   documents and communication of new versions)
-            Implementation of DMS (document management system) to be the home for BPPs
-            Best Practices web page (upload BPPs, supporting documents, videos, etc. and keep it up to date, include news and quick-wins, generate statistics of access)
-            Coordinate translations of BPPs and work with Tech Academy for content in other languages
