Senior Project Manager (Consulting) - Contract

Seeking a senior, cross-functional, and experienced Project Manager to assist a leading Consulting firm. You will typically have a leadership position on a large transformation programme leading a team of Consultants to deliver client success.

Senior Project Manager (Contract) – Management Consulting

Seeking a senior, cross-functional, and experienced Project Manager to assist a leading Consulting firm.  You will typically have a leadership position on a large transformation programme leading a team of Consultants to deliver client success. You will have a demonstrable track record of delivery as well as building fruitful & long-lasting relationships with clients.

You will meet the following minimum requirements

• Degree (Non negotiable) in Business / Project Management / Engineering or related
• At least 10 - 12 years’ relevant experience in a projects environment

• PMP / PMBOK qualification or similar

• 8+ years management consulting sector experience (non negotiable)
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Project Management (multiple projects) with an understanding of Governance, Strategy, Operations and implementation projects
• Knowledge of both waterfall and agile delivery
• Enterprise project management tools advantageous
• Must be an entrepreneurial thinker, willing to roll up your sleeves to provide 360 degree contribution (strategy, implementation, operations involvement etc)
• Evidence of engagement with and convincing of senior stakeholders including c-suite
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written into all levels of the organisation

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Work closely with other PMO team members, project and stream leads to enable teamwork and efficient program implementation
• Delivering exceptional work, on time, to budget through your own endeavours and those of your team.
• Monitoring and controlling of project indicators to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with defined budget and quality standards
• Regular reporting of status to steering committee and stakeholders
• Building strong partnerships with customer stakeholders
• Have a ‘consulting’ mindset that looks to identify and solve client problems rather than simply deliver a named solution
• Coaching and mentoring the team of Consultants and providing regular, timely feedback about their performance and supporting them to achieve their best for the client.

Location: Gauteng

Duration: Contract (6-8 months initially)
